Ray Lustig was the longest serving member of the Capitol photography corps, having served for 38 years as a Capitol Hill photojournalist for The Washington Star and Washington Post. He covered Watergate hearings and photographed major US political figures from the 1970’s to the early 2000s. One of his iconic photographs was of President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan waving from the window of Bethesda Naval Hospital after The President’s surgery. By the time he retired in December 2003, Lustig was the longest-tenured photographer at the Capitol and was dubbed “dean of the Hill.”

This auction features hundreds of Lustig’s cameras, lenses and accessories. Please note all items are in used condition and sold as-is unless noted otherwise.
