(Playground Publishing, 1993). This exceedingly rare piece of officially licensed Calvin and Hobbes merchandise? generally accepted as the only example of Watterson licensing his characters? is highly sought after and an essential acquisition for serious collectors. Further highlights of this sale include a true first edition, two-volume set of Noah Webster's 'An American Dictionary of the English Language' (1828). The auction also features a significant selection of John F. Kennedy and Kennedy family memorabilia from the Melody J. Miller estate, anchored by a 1960 typed letter signed by then-Senator John F. Kennedy, and a autograph letter signed by Jacqueline Kennedy concerning the wedding of her daughter, Caroline.
