Description
The 2021 Annual Meeting of the The Arc of Northern Virginia will be a virtual, online event, taking place on Thursday, November 18th at 7:30 pm. Join us as we come together and recognize great achievements of the year, honor outstanding volunteers and set the stage for a new year and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
One of the highlights of the Annual Meeting each year is the presentation these two prestigious awards: The 2021 Jessica Burmester Volunteer Award will be presented to Nancy Hemenway, and the 2021 Rusty Garth “You Are the Change” Advocacy Award will be presented to Joyce Kelly.
The evening will wrap up with a panel of County Supervisors elected to serve the constituents of Northern Virginia. We'll ask them to share information about their past work advocating for and improving developmental disability support and services, preview their plans for the coming year, and take questions from the audience submitted in advance. Confirmed guest panelists for the meeting include Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff McKay, and Supervisors Dalia A. Palchik, Daniel G. Storck, and James R. Walkinshaw.
