Hugh was born in Washington\, DC on March 23\, 1926 to Augusta Rose Brown and Horace E. Brown.\n\n \n\nA lifelong resident of Falls Church\, VA\, Hugh attended Madison Elementary School and Jefferson High School. He was the owner of Brown's Hardware store which opened in 1883 by his grandfather\, J.W. Brown. He continued running the store in the same homespun tradition as his grandfather and father. He was generous and kind to everyone he knew and a strong supporter of the City of Falls Church.\n\n \n\nHe is predeceased by his brother\, Horace Brown. He is survived by his nephew\, Charles Brown of Augusta\, GA and cousins throughout the east coast and his devoted Brown's Hardware employees.\n\n \n\nA memorial service to honor the life of Hugh Brown will be held on December 8\, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Falls Church Presbyterian Church\, 225 E.
